Upon the death of her late husband Ben Steffensmeier in May of 2015, Jenny Steffensmeier became the owner and President of Steffensmeier Welding & Manufacturing in Pilot Grove, Iowa.

Steffensmeier Welding & Manufacturing has been in business since 1982 and 100% solar powered since 2016. Since taking over the business, Jenny has emerged as a leading small business voice in Iowa. She is an alumna of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program and serves on the 10,000 Small Businesses Voices National Leadership Council. In 2020, she became the co-founder and Vice President of Subtle Impacts with her daughter Rachel. She is the proud mother of five adult children.
